Advantages:

  • Very high efficiencies

  • Rugged body and rotor design provides extended life at high pressures

  • Excellent performance on both low and high viscosity fluids (0.5-10,000 cst.)

  • Herringbone timing gears minimize rotor wear by maintaining axial alignment, and also provide maximum torque load capacities

Typical Applications:

  • Crude Oil Pipelines or Platforms - transfer and gathering

  • Gas Turbine Fuel Pumps or Burner Feed Pumps - fuel oils and naphtha

  • Petroleum Transport - barge and tanker loading/unloading, tank farms

Design:

The fluid entering the side inlet port is split into two equal portions for the inlet end of each set of screws.  As the rotating screws intermesh, transfer chambers are formed trapping and conveying the fluid axially to the discharge chamber in the center of the pump.  Herringbone timing gears maintain precise axial alignment of the rotors.

Options:

  • Iron or Cast Steel Casing

  • Chrome Plated Bores

  • Hard Fused Coating on Rotors

  • Nitrided Timing Gears

  • External Seal Lubrication

  • General Compliance with API676
